done and dusted

Posted on: June 15, 2007

Here is the finished Sockapalooza pair!

What do you think? I am very very happy with them. I really really need to get myself one of those foots.

Here are some pictures of our day at the beach. Purl is missing because she needed to take the pictures.

Last night I was both productive and unproductive. I cast on for some socks for me. That was productive.ย Apart from finishing my Baudelaires, I have not made socks for me for a little while. So I am making Go With the Flow from my Favourite Socks book. Seriously, this book has been one of the best investments! The Spunk asked me last night “Is that the best book in the world, or what?”!

In the unproductive basket, I pulled the MIL1 socks off the Magic Loop and restarted them on dpns. And changed my mind about the pattern. I am now doing Undulating Ribs, also from Favourite Socks.

What do you all think of the Summer Knitty?

Hope you are all well and staying warm ๐Ÿ™‚

Great soxs, and it is not that hard to think of winter when it rains…..

Great socks–congrats on being done early! I’m with you on the Favorite Socks book…I want to knit EVERY sock in there!

Those are lovely lovely lovely socks ๐Ÿ™‚ Favorite Socks is definitely the dog’s bs… ๐Ÿ˜€

Sounds like it was ALL productive to me. It’s pretty productive to rip something from the needles and start again if it isn’t working for you. I love the beach in winter – thanks to Purl for the photos. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice socks. Maybe you need one of those cutout foot silhouette things to block your socks. Summer Knitty has a couple of nice things, doncha think?

Those are fabulous socks! Ok, this is totally off the subject, but I’m coming to Hobart in two weeks (from Christchurch NZ) and was hoping you could put me on to some knitting stores, &c. in town. I’m so excited to see Tasmania!

You got those socks finished so quickly! I have to get that sock book! I wasn’t that fussed on Summer Knitty, a couple of nice things, but mosty for me it was a bit “meh”.

Hand knitting has been practiced for thousands of years. Where and how this art was invented is still a mystery. Some people believe that knitting began when primitive man made webs out of roots. Others think that Arabian nomads carried the craft into Europe. Still others think that this art origina…
